After attending the Winona School of Photography, Don Ames began his professional photography career working for a commercial advertising agency. Through his entire career, he has kept on the cutting edge of imaging technology. Continually learning and growing, he has developed a highly professional, technically advanced photographic and graphic design facility utilizing both traditional film and the latest computer technologies.

While always remaining active in commercial photography, Don operated his own portrait studio for a number of years, learning the fine art of bringing out the beauty in people through the use of light, props, color and style.

Today he has chosen to forego portrait photography and is using these skills exclusively to draw out the beauty from the inanimate objects of the commercial and industrial worlds. Architects design aesthetically pleasing buildings - Don finds the beauty and captures it in any image format needed. Products that you see and use everyday are presented in pleasing, attractive and desirable layouts and settings.
